We know that the reasons why women offend are different to men, and therefore working effectively with women and girls requires a different approach also, one that is gender specific and trauma informed. Interventions should be holistic and easily accessible, to prevent women needing to tell her story multiple times.
Women RISE
LAT opened the first Women’s Centre in Lincolnshire in 2023.
Our mission is to offer vulnerable women a space where they can improve their wellbeing and live the life they want, through tailored support to increase their skills and confidence, reduce isolation and help them access the services they need in a safe women-only space.
Women RISE offers holistic interventions to women at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system across Greater Lincolnshire, including:
- Programmes to help women learn how to make positive life choices and to manage their health and wellbeing
- Therapeutic and creative activities
- Access to training, education and confidence work to increase opportunities for further training, education or employment
- ‘One stop shop’ access to support services e.g. drug treatment services, mental health support, debt advice, domestic abuse support, sexual health services, legal advice, gambling support
- Access to counselling to address a range of mental health issues including PTSD, anxiety, and low self-worth

Women's Service
Our team deliver the Women’s Service across Greater Lincolnshire, offering holistic, trauma informed interventions for women on Probation.
Support can include:
- Accommodation
- Personal wellbeing
- Finance, benefits and debts
- Education, training and employment
- Families and significant others
- Dependency and recovery
- Lifestyles and associates
- Social Inclusion
Support is available 1-1 and in groups, to encourage peer support.
