Volunteers can have a powerful and positive impact on the people they work with and volunteering can be incredibly rewarding. We offer volunteering opportunities within a number of locations, both in prisons and in the community, and currently have the following vacancies:

The Recruitment Process

  1. If you think you would be a great addition to our volunteering team, please complete an application form for the relevant role using the links above
  2. Applications will then be shortlisted for telephone interviews
  3. If successful following telephone interview, applicants will be invited to attend an in-person interview with our Volunteer & Mentor Coordinator and/or Senior Practitioner
  4. If successful we will be in touch to offer the volunteer role, and if you are happy to accept the role, we will commence our pre-engagement checks such as references, DBS and vetting (for custody based roles). We will also send eLearning instructions
  5. Once all necessary checks and eLearning modules are completed, the applicant will then be invited to volunteer training sessions which are two days of training sessions booked across two weeks
  6. After training, the applicant will meet with our Volunteer & Mentoring Coordinator or senior practitioner to discuss next steps and get your volunteering journey started!

Volunteers will have access to regular support and supervisions, as well as the opportunity to access development opportunities and training. Volunteers are also reimbursed for ‘out of pocket’ travel and expenses incurred in the role.
