Family and Significant Other Support
LAT has a team of staff based at a number of prisons in the region who are able to support families, children and significant others affected by a loved one being in prison. Staff are located at the following sites:
- HMP Hull
- HMP Humber
- HMP Lincoln
- HMP Morton Hall
- HMP North Sea Camp
- HMP Stocken
Our staff can give information about visiting and about the prison, as well as general advice on anything you may be struggling with, such as finances and housing.
Our teams act as a point of contact, encourage visiting by families and significant others, and aim to provide information to make visits less daunting for children and for other family members. We can also develop links with schools and other agencies to ensure a father can stay involved in his child’s life whilst in prison. Being Dad, a course to develop and hone parenting skills, is also offered to fathers and carers in prison.

Dress Code
Visitors are required to follow the HMPPS Dress Code when visiting. Some prisons have their own dress code, so please check before attending. If the dress code is not followed, you may be refused entry.
