Dawn Warren
Dawn is a Family Engagement Manager, and her key responsibilities include developing services to support prisoners and families who have a loved one in prison across a cluster of prison sites.
She worked in the early years sector for many years alongside completing a foundation degree in Early Childhood Studies and BA (Hons) in Education.
She says the charity’s approach that everyone deserves someone to speak up for them, especially the most vulnerable, and to empower individuals to make the most of their situation, is the reason she joined LAT. She also says the most rewarding part of her role is being a part of reconnecting families and seeing the positive outcomes of it.
What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
“To keep an open mind and not to judge someone because of their situation.”
What’s your favourite motto?
“What’s done is done, we can only move forward.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“In my spare time I am often a taxi for my children, but I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and of course my dog! I enjoy walking and finding new places to go.”
