FIRST Centre at HMP Lincoln
Figures from the Ministry of Justice suggest that prisoners are 39% less likely to reoffend if they have had visits throughout their prison sentence. Through our FIRST Centre (Family Information and Release Support Team) at HMP Lincoln, we seek to maintain family ties by offering informal support and signposting for information and assistance with finance, accommodation, childcare and health issues. Support is available before, during and after each visit. Practical assistance is offered in emergency situations and referrals to additional services within the local community can be arranged by the FIRST Centre team.
