Prison Voicemail is an innovative service run by Phonehub IO Ltd which allows family and friends to leave voicemails for someone who is in prison to help them keep in contact with each other. Prison Voicemail was successfully trialled at HMP Lincoln in 2015 and is now available in most prisons nationally. Find out more about the service here: https://prisonvoicemail.com/
In July/August 2017, our Performance and Development Manager, Lauren Mumby, was involved in evaluating the Prison Voicemail Service alongside The University of Lincoln. The evaluation found that Prison Voicemail is viewed positively by families and people in prison custody. Prison Voicemail can help family and friends to maintain their relationships, to have improved wellbeing and to resolve practical issues while their friend/family member is in prison.
